About UsI am first and foremost an artist, a painter. I have a traditional atelier approach to painting using techniques of the old masters and using the vast array of subject matter the Pembrokeshire landscape has to offer. Landscape, coastal scenes, nature and even still life’s of found objects that are all somehow connected to the story and soul of this unique timeless place I call home. My studio is ideally situated on the foothills of the Preseli mountains surrounded by ancient monuments and rural life. We all invest emotions on to inanimate objects which have more than just a practical or decorative use, they have our memories attached to them and of previous owners who have etched their marks on to them with endless love and use. Objects can say much more about someone's life than a portrait.
'The Renaissance Man' is a term used to describe people who are passionate and skilled in a significant number of different subjects. I collect unusual Vintage, Antique objects from every area of Art & Design. You could say I am "a society for the protection of lost and forgotten things". My philosophy is to give these unwanted things a new life by using them in a still life painting or finding a new home where they can be appreciated once more. My Gallery and Antique warehouse is based in The Bazaar, an old brewery in Narberth, Pembrokeshire in South West Wales. I create my paintings and handmade creations from the arts and craft skills I have acquired over the past 30 or more years and I sell my art and antiques from my own collection. If you wish to buy anything please email me (via contacts page) and I can send you payment details. I look forward to hearing from you... Enjoy |
